TURN OVER YOUR BALLOT TO VOTE ON PROPOSALS!
There's more than just the presidential election on your ballot! New York has important ballot proposals:
WHAT IS PROP 1? (STATEWIDE)
Prop 1 prohibits discrimination based on ethnicity, national origin, age, disability and sex – including sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, and abortion rights – by enshrining these rights in the state constitution.
Prop 1 will protect our fundamental rights and reproductive freedom — including abortion.
WHAT ARE PROPS 2-6? (NYC-ONLY)
Proposals 2 through 6 are the result of Mayor Adams’ rushed Charter Revision Commission and could significantly impact the responsiveness, transparency, and accountability of city government to New Yorkers.
Props 2-6 will change NYC’s constitution to give more power to mayors, weaken checks-and-balances, and take power away from everyday New Yorkers.
